Yuya Ito eliminated in second round of Oracle ITA Masters

Texas freshman Yuya Ito fell in the second round of the Oracle ITA Masters to North Florida’s Jack Findel-Hawkins on Friday in Malibu, Calif.

Ito, who was the top seed at the 32-player tournament, won the first set 7-5, then dropped the second set 6-2. Findel-Hawkins moved on to the quarterfinals with a 6-3 victory in the third set.

Ito is 6-2 in singles play in October and defeated two players ranked in the top 50 earlier this month.
