It’s unclear if the comeback is over, but Vince Young’s attempt to jump start his football career is on hold.
The agent for the former Texas Longhorn great, Leigh Steinberg, tweeted Saturday that Young has a torn hamstring and the Saskatchewan Roughriders had waived the 2006 Rose Bowl hero.

Young suffered the injury June 6, and coach Chris Jones announced it was a torn hamstring earlier this week. The Roughriders’ season begins on June 22.
The 34-year-old signed with Saskatchewan earlier this year. The signing followed a few weeks of hype from Steinberg, who had tweeted that Young wanted to continue his playing career and he had signed with notable agent. Young had not played football since 2011.

In six NFL seasons Young threw for 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions while making two Pro Bowls.
