Austin billboard company: Mack Brown a ‘Class Act’

Posted December 26th, 2013

Texas football season ticket holder Bill Reagan wanted to do something to thank coach Mack Brown for all he’s done over the last 16 years.

So the president of Reagan Advertising decided to put up a billboard. Four of them, in fact.

The first of four Reagan Advertising billboards appeared on Highway 183. It features Brown’s image with a simple message, “Class Act.” Other billboards will have the same image and say, “Thank You.” Reagan hopes to have all four up in the Austin area by Monday.

“We just made a decision to put those up,” Reagan said. “Being a local company here in Austin, we try to embody certain qualities and certain characteristics. As a personal fan, I just think Mack Brown has done a terrific job for Texas. He embodies all the qualities that we should strive for.”

Reagan said there will be one billboard on Interstate 35 near downtown, another on Highway 290 and a fourth near the UT campus.

Reagan isn’t the only person who wants to thank Brown for his service at UT. Several T-shirt makers are now hawking Thank You-type items for Brown.

Brown’s last game will be coaching the Longhorns against No. 10 Oregon (10-2) in Monday’s Alamo Bowl.
