Hossler ties for fifth place at Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic

Longhorn Beau Hossler shot a 3-under-par 68 to finish tied for fifth place at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic on Sunday in El Paso.

Hossler, who started the third round in 11th place, carded his eighth round under par this season. The junior from Mission Viejo, California has shot under par in all but one round this season.

Vanderbilt senior Zack Jaworski shot a 4-under-par 67 to take first place at 6 under par. After bogeys on the 7th and 8th holes, Jaworski had four birdies and six pars on the final 10 holes to take the title.


Claudio Correa, who held a two-shot lead heading into the final round, shot 1 over par and finished in a four-way tie for second at 4 under par. Hossler and East Tennessee State’s Adrian Meronk tied for fifth at 2 under par.

UT’s Gavin Hall shot 1 over par in the final round and tied for 11th place at 3 over par. Texas’ Doug Ghim carded a 2-over 73 and finished in 16th place at 8 over par.
