Texas got a little bit of good news on an otherwise forgettable Saturday when three-star guard Denzel Okafor announced he had committed to the Longhorns.

Hours after Texas’ 38-20 loss at West Virginia, Okafor, of Lewisville, tweeted that he had chosen Texas.

Okafor (6-3, 295 pounds) picked Texas over TCU. According to 247Sports’ composite ratings, Okafor is the state’s No. 103 recruit and the nation’s No. 37 guard. However, his list of offers tell the story of a high-profile recruit, as Okafor reports offers from Texas A&M, LSU and Oklahoma.

Okafor becomes the 11th player and second offensive lineman to commit to Texas’ 2016 class, which is ranked No. 51 nationally.
