Signing day primer: At what time will Texas’ targets announce?

Posted February 2nd, 2016

Signing day on Wednesday has the potential to be uplifting or deflating as Texas tries to close by adding another 10 or so commitments.

It won’t take long for the outcome to be known, as everyone still left on Texas’ recruiting board will have made his decision by 1 p.m.

Hoping to keep track? We’re here to help.

D’Andre Christmas-Giles, 10 p.m. Tuesday — New Orleans DT committed to Texas over LSU and TCU.

Marcel Southall, 7:30 a.m. — Duncanville DT is also considering Oklahoma and Miami.

Chris Daniels, 7:45 a.m. — Former Oklahoma commitment would fill a need at DT.

Stephon Taylor, 8 a.m. — New Orleans DT also likes Florida State.

Brandon Jones, 8 a.m. (ESPNU) — It’s down to Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor for the five-star safety from Nacogdoches

Erick Fowler, 8:30 a.m. — Manor LB is committed to LSU, but his family wants him to stay home.

Chris Brown, 8:30 a.m. — Many believe Alief Elsik safety is a lock to play defensive back at Texas.

Deontay Anderson, 9 a.m. (ESPNU) — It sounds like the Manvel safety will choose Ole Miss or LSU, but Texas is still in the mix.

Dontavious Jackson, 9:45 a.m. (ESPNU) — Can Texas hold off Florida State for Brown’s high school teammate?

Jeffrey McCulloch, 10 a.m. (ESPNU) — Texas badly wants this linebacker from Houston. So does everyone else.

Patrick Hudson, 10:30 a.m. — Silsbee guard is ticketed to Baylor, but he’s been wavering in recent weeks.

Jordan Elliott, 1 p.m. — He’s been committed to Michigan, Houston and Baylor. His next decision will be firm.
