Rod Page, the first coach in the history of the Texas women’s basketball program, will be honored between the first and second quarters of Sunday’s game. Page, who lives in North Austin, compiled a record of 38-17 from 1974-76. … Texas is coming off a 58-51 victory over Kansas State on Wednesday. Brady Sanders scored a team-high 12 points, the first time she’s been the Longhorns’ leading scorer since February of 2015. She became the eighth different player to lead the Longhorns in scoring this season. … Fans are encouraged to wear pink Sunday as part of the “Shoot for the Cure” campaign. … Former Longhorn Krystle Henderson has signed to play professionally in Morocco.


Bria Holmes scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures as the Mountaineers defeated Oklahoma 63-55 Wednesday. The triumph over the Sooners marked the 10th 20-victory season for West Virginia coach Mike Carey in his 15 seasons at the school. … Katrina Pardee, a freshman guard from Vista Ridge, has averaged 6.4 PPG this season. … Holmes needs 52 more points to become the first player in school history to reach 500 in three different seasons. … Texas defeated West Virginia 64-54 last month behind 18 points from Ariel Atkins.
