Texas Tasija Karosas and Rebecca Millard won consolation races to help the Longhorns finish in 15th place at the 2016 NCAA Championships on Saturday in Atlanta.
Georgia won its seventh NCAA team tile with 414 points, followed by Stanford (395) and California (358). Texas A&M placed fourth with 309 points. The Bulldogs have won the NCAA crown three of the past four seasons.
Texas had nine swimmers earn honorable mention All-American honors and finished with 79 points. UT’s Madisyn Cox got All-American honors with a fourth-place showing in the 200 yard individual medley.
Karosas, the school and Big 12 record holder in the 200-yard backstroke, won the 200 backstroke consolation final in one minute 50.89 seconds. Millard won the 100 freestyle consolation final in 48.03 seconds to earn her first individual honorable mention All-America award.
