The Texas women’s tennis team won two doubles matches and three singles matches in straight sets in a 4-0 sweep of Kansas State on Sunday in Manhattan, Kansas.
Breaunna Addison and sophomore Dani Wagland secured the double point with a 6-4 victory over Ana Garcia Navas and Millie Stretton.
Wagland defeated Stretton at third singles 6-1, 6-2 and Addison made it 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Navas at first singles. Neda Koprcina sealed the team win by beating Carolina Costamagna at second singles 6-2, 6-3.
“The singles matches were probably tougher than the scores would suggest.” said Texas coach Michael Center. ” Bree, Neda and Dani were characteristically ferocious in closing out our first Big 12 win.”
Texas (8-5, 1-1) will take a break from Big 12 play and will face Northwestern on Monday, March 28th at Whitaker Tennis Courts.
