Former Longhorns WR Jordan Shipley has opened up about life after leaving the NFL.

“After retiring from football, I was lost,” he says. So the Texas Ex took some time to reflect. “My dad always told me, ‘Son, if you do what you love, find a way to do that and you’ll never work a day in your life.’

“Well, I love to milk elk.” Wait, what?


Shipley delivers a downright award-winning performance in this April Fools’ spot from Yeti, passionately describing his love for creating “melk” and proudly showing off his inspiration board. The video features cameos from his dad and wife, plus former Texas quarterback Colt McCoy (in case you hadn’t heard, he used to be Shipley’s roommate).

Shipley: “A lot of people have actually started calling me the melkman.”

McCoy: “Nobody calls him the melkman.”
