Texas seeded No. 1 at NCAA golf regionals

The No. 1-ranked Texas men’s golf team, fresh off winning the Big 12 championship, is the No. 1 seed in the NCAA regional tournament at Franklin, Tenn.

The Longhorns earned an automatic bid by winning the league tournament by a record 26 strokes. It was UT’s fourth-straight Big 12 title. The NCAA regionals, a 54-hole event, are scheduled for May 16-18.

The five lowest teams and the lowest-scoring individual from each regional will advance to the NCAA championship in Eugene, Ore.
