Augie Garrido is no longer the head baseball coach at the University of Texas, as the winningest coach in the history of college baseball was reassigned Monday.
Garrido’s tenure began in July 1996 when the the then-Cal State Fullerton coach was introduced as the new coach of the Texas Longhorns. He went on to win two national championships at Texas.
