Patmon lettered for Texas in 1998. He was a cornerback, but probably was known most for being Williams best friend. The two left Patrick Henry High School in 1995 for Austin. Patmon was by his best friend’s side as Williams broke the NCAA career rushing record and won the 1998 Heisman Trophy.

Former teammates learned of Patmon’s death via Facebook and posted their thoughts about the popular player who was known for his high energy and big smile.
