The Next 25: If there’s a jump ball, No. 4 Theo Wease will probably make the catch

Allen's tall, athletic wide receiver may be the best in the state at out-jumping defensive backs downfield.

Texas offer: Yes

Other top offers: Oklahoma, Florida State, Michigan, LSU

College: Undecided

Scouting Wease: Wease used to be committed to Oklahoma but decided to re-open his recruitment this April as more programs began to offer scholarships. He’s approaching 30 offers in all, and his skill set matches those accolades. Wease is tall, long and athletic. He’s also strong enough to beat safeties in tight spots. Wease is the best jump-ball receiver in the state and has become a more consistent route runner as he’s gotten older and more experienced. He was District 6-6A’s offensive newcomer of the year as a sophomore in 2016 after recording 35 catches for 421 yards and eight touchdowns.
