Texas is in the running for one of the most electric prospects in the state after Bellaire Episcopal wide receiver Jaylen Waddle trimmed his list to 12 teams. The Longhorns are in the running along with Oregon, Florida State and Oklahoma among others.

Texas wants to sign multiple wide receivers in the 2018 class. The Longhorns already hold a commitment from East Ridge (Fla.) slot receiver Justin Watkins. Texas is also in the running for four-star prospects Al’Vonte Woodard and Brennan Eagles.

Waddle is 5-foot-9.5 and 175 pounds and ranked No. 27 in the Fabulous 55. The four-star talent is ranked the No. 121 overall prospect in the 2018 class by the 247Sports Composite. Waddle recorded 1,382 yards receiving as a junior and scored on 26 of his 48 receptions.
