Texas made the cut for four-star wide receiver Al’Vonte Woodard. The Houston Lamar product lists Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Ohio State as his final five. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound receiver is the No. 13 in the Fabulous 55. He’s the No. 12 wide receiver in the nation, per 247Sports. Woodard was the 18-6A MVP as a junior and a first-team all-district selection as a sophomore.
Woodard is one of 10 wide receivers in the 2018 class with a Texas offer. The Longhorns are looking for at least three wide receivers in the class and already hold a commitment from slot receiver Justin Watkins. Woodard’s teammates — Anthony Cook and D’Shawn Jamison — also hold Texas offers.
