Cypress Springs safety Leon O’Neal named Texas in his final seven alongside Texas A&M, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Georgia, Clemson and LSU. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound four-star prospect is a hard-hitting safety with plenty of confidence. He earned an invitation to The Opening Finals in Oregon over the summer and is ranked No. 29 in the Fabulous 55. He’s the No. 66 ranked prospect in the nation and the No. 6 ranked safety, per 247Sports.

Texas A&M should be considered the favorite. Texas sits at 10 commitments to start the month of June and two are from secondary members. Cibolo Steele’s Caden Sterns is a do-everything defensive back with a future at safety, cornerback and nickel defender. Arp’s DeMarvion Overshown committed Wednesday as a safety. Five-star safety B.J. Foster is set to announce June 5 and the Longhorns are in good shape with the Angleton High School star.
