Austin Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins earns Texas offer

Austin Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins became the second Austin-area prospect in the 2019 class to receive a Texas offer. The Longhorns also offered Lake Travis wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Higgins and Wilson are among 10 wide receivers in the 2019 cycle to already hold a Texas offer.

Higgins is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect who is currently ranked as the No. 413-best player in the nation, per 247Sports Composite. The 3-star holds 20 offers, including Arkansas, Baylor and Colorado.

He caught 26 passes for 425 yards and six touchdowns as a junior. In his sophomore year, Higgins recorded 40 catches for 628 yards and nine touchdowns. Higgins is a two-time all-district selection.
