Nathan Thornhill’s UT groom’s cake puts your wedding cake to shame

You think you’re a University of Texas fan? Well, did you make one of your wedding cakes in the image of the Tower itself?

That’s what one Longhorn couple did.

Former UT pitcher Nathan Thornhill and his wife Katherine Farmer, a former UT cheerleader, decided to go big for Thornhill’s groom’s cake:


The UT alumnae were married Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Tarrytown Methodist Church, according to wedding planner Barbara Shorts.

But the cake wasn’t the only UT decoration at the Thornhill wedding. Bevo made an appearance, too, and the rehearsal dinner was held in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
