Seymour took the 100-meter hurdles in 13.16, with teammate Ariel Jones taking second in 13:55. Jones also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.06. Golden won the 400 in 52.93.

Wind played a factor over the two-day event.

“They weren’t happy with their times because the kids are so obsessed about their marks,” interim head coach Tonja Buford-Bailey said. “But we’ve got another race next week and one after that, so the times are going to come. We just executed some of the things we were working on, so that’s the most important thing.”

For the men, their best finish came from Medric Robinson. He took second in the 110-meter hurdles in 14 seconds flat. Teammate John Burt came in fifth with a mark of 14.29.

Alan Zapalac took fourth in the discus with a mark of 171 feet, 3 inches.

Barrett Poth finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 17-3/4.

The men took third in the 1,600 relay and fourth in the 400 relay.
