The top target remaining on Texas’ recruiting board is Lake Travis wide receiver Garrett Wilson. The four-star prospect is the No. 7-ranked player on the Fabulous 55 and his stock is continuing to rise during the offseason with dominating performances at elite camps and club 7-on-7 tournaments across the nation.
Wilson is considered one of the best wide receivers in the nation and the best player to come from the Austin-area in many years.

The Columbus-native is considering Texas and Ohio State. He took an official visit to Columbus this weekend and the rumors of an imminent commitment to the Buckeyes began. Not true, says Garrett.
“It was definitely a good visit but I’m going into both official visits with no clear leader,” Wilson said via text message on Sunday. “Once I take this Texas official visit, I’ll start to think about where I want to end up. I’d say Ohio State has an edge just because I just took my official visit and I haven’t taken one to Texas.”
That will change this weekend when Wilson is the headline visitor on the weekend of the Orange-White spring game.
