Kaitlyn Washington and MK Tedder each drove in two runs while Paige von Sprecken pitched a complete game Saturday to lead the Longhorns to a 9-2 win over Texas Tech for third place in the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City.
The Longhorns scored two runs each in the second and third innings before a four-run sixth clinched the win.
Von Sprecken allowed five hits, struck out four and walked two. The senior also went 2-for-4 at the plate, driving in a run.
Washington and Tedder each had two hits. Washington also scored a run.
Taylor Ellsworth went 3-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI. Randel Leahy had two hits and drove in a run.
After the Red Raiders scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning, Janae Jefferson tied the game with an RBI single to score Kaitlyn Slack. Jefferson scored later in the inning on a single by von Sprecken to give Texas the lead.

Texas removed any hope of a comeback in the bottom of the inning, however. After an RBI single by Ellsworth, Washington singled and the Red Raiders committed an error to allow two runs to cross the plate. Tedder added a run as she singled Washington home.
