According to the Fox Upfront presentation on Monday, the Red River Showdown of Texas and Oklahoma football will be changing channels this fall.

After being televised on ESPN last season, the annual Cotton Bowl showdown will be on FOX on Oct. 6 in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl. The network is relying on the game, along with the Ohio State-Michigan and Michigan-Michigan State games, to be a major ratings draw. This is just the second time in 20 years that the game will be on FOX, but it’s the second time the game has been a FOX-family network, as the 2016 matchup, which Oklahoma won, was on FS1.
