Last season’s Texas-USC game under the lights at the Coliseum was one of the most-watched games of the year. Fox hopes to recreate similar magic this season by staging the rematch at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15.
Kickoff times for four UT football games were announced on Thursday with the USC game being the highlight.
Fox TV cameras should have an excellent setting that night at Royal-Memorial Stadium. The school has already announced that UT season ticket holders will get the first chance to buy any remaining tickets for the Trojans. It’s expected to be sold out.

The season opener against Maryland will kickoff at 11 a.m. on FS1, according to a press release from the network. The game on Sept. 1 will be UT’s first at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., home of the Washington Redskins.
Also, the Texas home opener against Tulsa will kickoff at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8. The game will be telecast on Longhorn Network.
The regular-season finale at Kansas will begin at 11 a.m. on Nov. 23. That game will be shown on FS1. It will be UT’s first trip back to Lawrence, Kan., since the disastrous overtime loss in 2016.
Typically, the Big 12 schedule does not release kickoff times of all conference games until two weeks before each game. TV networks wait as long as possible to slot the best matchups. However the Texas-Oklahoma game is always played during the day, either 11 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.
