Posted June 6th, 2018

After spending the past two weeks in Europe with Texas’ volleyball team, Logan Eggleston will soon join two of her future teammates in Mexico.

USA Volleyball announced on Tuesday that Eggleston has been placed on the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team. Eggleston is entering her freshman year at Texas. She will be joined on the 12-player roster by Skylar Fields and Molly Phillips, who are both committed to UT’s 2019 recruiting class.

From June 18-23, the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team is set to compete in the NORCECA Championship against 11 other countries. The team will be coached by Keegan Cook, who is the head coach at Washington. The NORCECA Championship will be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Eggleston was expected to arrive at Texas in 2019, but she graduated a year early from Brentwood High in Brentwood, Tenn. A 6-2 outside hitter, Eggleston was the Tennessean’s Player of the Year during her sophomore and junior seasons.

Texas recently concluded a two-week tour of Europe. Eggleston joined the Longhorns in time for a trip that featured exhibition matches and sight-seeing in Slovenia, Austria, and Italy.
