The 11th commitment for Texas in the 2019 recruiting class came from a familiar area. No, not Texas. California. The Longhorns snagged their first safety prospect of the cycle with the addition of four-star Chris Adimora. He joins outside linebacker De’Gabriel Floyd as Californians in the 2019 class. Tom Herman signed quarterback Cameron Rising out of California in the 2018 class.

Adimora, a Mayfair (Calif.) product, is the No. 14-ranked safety and the No. 200-ranked overall prospect in the country, per 247Sports Composite. He picked Texas on Sunday over 15 other offers, including Alabama, Michigan and Oregon.

“This has been a real tough decision and process,” said Adimora about recruiting. “God steered me in the right direction and Texas will have my heart and devotion for the next four years. It felt like the right time to pick a school.”

The Longhorns also want in-state safeties Jalen Catalon and Lewis Cine. Both are members of the 2019 Fabulous 55.
