The raid of out-of-state talent continued for Tom Herman and Texas on Saturday night when four-star wide receiver Demariyon Houston (Okla.). Houston became the 13th commitment for Texas in the 2019 cycle and the third wide receiver, joining four-star talents Jordan Whittington and Jake Smith.

Houston, who was recruited to play outside receiver, is a 6-foot, 165-pound speedster who can fill the void left by John Burt and Devin Duvernay.

Houston is the sixth out-of-state prospect to pick the Longhorns this cycle. A stark contrast to the 2018 class when Texas ran the Lone Star State and signed the top five players on the Fabulous 55. Whittington and offensive lineman Tyler Johnson are the only players in the top 10 of the 2019 Fabulous 55 committed to the Longhorns.

Texas hopes to sign four wide receivers in the 2019 class. The top target remaining is Dylan Wright, a 6-foot-3 wide receiver out of West Mesquite. Round Rock Cedar Ridge product Jaylen Ellis also holds an offer.
