Freshman Charli Collier scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Texas women’s basketball team beat West Texas A&M 91-63 in an exhibition game Sunday at the Erwin Center.
UT senior Lashann Higgs contributed 14 points as improved to 6-0 in exhibition games under coach Karen Aston.
The Longhorns hit 33 of 66 shots from the field and made 18 of 21 free throws. They outrebounded West Texas A&M 43-25.
The Lady Buffs kept i close for much of the first half before Texas pushed the margin to 44-29 at halftime. The Longhorns outscored West Texas A&M 29-14 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
Next up for UT is a 7 p.m. game Nov. 8 against Duquesne at the Erwin Center.
