The Texas softball team swept a fall ball doubleheader Wednesday, defeating Galveston College 6-0 before topping Temple College 5-3.
Taylor Ellsworth went 4 for 6 on the day, driving in four runs to lead the offense. Tuesday DerMargosian went 4 for 5 with two walks and two steals. Kaitlyn Washington drove in a pair of runs as she went 3 for 4 on the day.
Ariana Adams pitched four innings, striking out nine and allowing three hits in the win over Galveston College. Chloe Romero pitched three innings and struck out three in the combined shutout.
Brooke Bolinger had nine strikeouts in the second game. She pitched four innings and allowed a run against Temple College.
The wins moved the Longhorns to 6-0 during the fall exhibition season. They have one more contest, a game with Texas State Friday at 6 p.m. at McCombs Field.
