The Big 12 has given Texas three additional reasons to celebrate this past weekend’s 41-34 win over Texas Tech.
Three Longhorns were given a weekly award by the Big 12 on Monday. Junior receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and freshman kicker Cameron Dicker were named the conference’s offensive and special teams players of the week. Texas cornerback Davante Davis split the Big 12’s weekly defensive award with Kansas linebacker Joe Dineen, Jr.

Humphrey recorded eight receptions and a career-high 159 receiving yards against Texas Tech, and one of his two touchdowns was the game-winning catch with 21 seconds remaining. Davis created two turnovers in UT’s red zone. Dicker kicked 52- and 46-yard field goals, and that 52-yarder is tied for the third-longest make for a Texas freshman.
This season, Texas has won eight of the Big 12’s weekly awards. Dicker is the first Longhorn to be honored twice.
