Longhorns sweep competition at Texas Hall of Fame Diving Invitational

Jordan Windle and Alison Gibson each won events on the second day of the Texas Hall of Fame Diving Invitational at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center Thursday.

Gibson won the 1-meter event with 329.80 points, just one point ahead of second place Brooke Schultz of Arkansas.

Gibson averaged 54.97 points per round and had a high score of 61.10 in the finals.

Murphy Bromberg scored 302.90 points for fifth place. Meghan O’Brien took sixth place with 297.70 points.

On the men’s side, Windle won the 3-meter event by 37 points over second place Benjamin Bramley of Purdue. Windle averaged 74.90 points per dive, with a high score of 88.40 points in the fifth round.

Both the men and women will close out the Texas Hall of Fame Diving Invitational with the platform competition Friday.
