On Friday, Texas announced that it had added right-handed pitcher Courtney Day to its 2019 recruiting class.
Day attends Pearland Dawson High. Previously a Sam Houston State commit, Day joins a quartet of prep players signed by the Longhorns on Wednesday.

This past spring, Day was an all-state honoree and the MVP of District 23-6A. According to the Pearland Reporter News, Day compiled a 14-4 record, 143 strikeouts and 0.98 ERA last season. She also hit .521 with 40 RBIs.
