Texas’ starting lineup

Matt Coleman (G, 6-2, So.) — 10.5 ppg, 3.0 apg

Kerwin Roach II (G, 6-4, Sr.) — 14.3 ppg, 4.3 apg

Jase Febres (G, 6-5, So.) — 6.6 ppg, 2.5 rpg

Dylan Osetkowski (F, Sr., 6-9) — 10.6 ppg, 8.5 rpg

Jericho Sims (F, So., 6-11) — 6.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg

About the Longhorns: This is the final tuneup before Big 12 play starts on Jan. 2 at Kansas State. The Horns are coming off a 71-65 loss to Providence last week. Texas has lost four of its last six games since that 92-89 upset over North Carolina on Thanksgiving night. … Don’t blame Jaxson Hayes, though; the freshman forward leads the team with a 74.6-percent shooting percentage and has hit his last 18 shots, a streak that goes back three games. That kind of production has helped the UT bench, which has outscored opponents’ benches in nine of the first 11 games.

UT-Arlington’s starting lineup

Brian Warren (G, Jr., 5-9) — 14.3 ppg, 3.1 apg

DJ Bryant (G, Jr., 5-11) — 4.5 ppg, 2.1 apg

Radshad Davis (G, Jr., 6-2) — 7.6 ppg, 6.1 rpg

Tiandre Jackson-Young (G, Jr., 6-3) — 6.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg

Andres Ibarguen (F, Jr., 6-5) — 8.8 ppg, 7.7 rpg

About the Mavericks: Welcome back, Chris Ogden. UTA’s first-year head coach is a Longhorn who also spent 12 years on the UT coaching staff; he was a captain on the 2003 Final Four team. … Ibarguen, who’s from Colombia, missed the first six games of the season but has come on strong in the last four. … The Mavericks stopped a seven-game losing streak with an overtime win at Cal Poly last Friday, sparked by Warren’s game-tying layup and game-winning free throws. Bryant had a career-high six steals. … Davis leads the team with 21 offensive rebounds.
