Four Texans ensured spots in The Opening Final this summer with strong performances at the regional event in Katy on Sunday. Fabulous 55 members Arjei Henderson, Austin Stogner, Marcus Banks and Bobby Wolfe earned invitations to the most elite summer event in high school recruiting.
Henderson, a 4-star wide receiver from Fort Bend Travis, ranks No. 2 on the Fabulous 55. He recently announced a top three of Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Alabama. The two-time first-team all-district selection has 181 receptions for 2,569 yards and 32 touchdowns through his junior year.
Stogner is a 4-star tight end committed to Oklahoma. The No. 10-ranked player on the Fabulous 55 is a reliable pass catcher with a big enough frame to become a viable blocker. The Prestonwood Christian product made the drive from Plano to compete in the event. He caught 41 passes and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
Banks is a Texas target from Spring Dekaney. He is the No. 12-ranked player on the Fabulous 55 and the top-ranked cornerback on the list. Banks is the former teammate of recent Texas signee Malcolm Epps and recently visited Texas for junior day. The Longhorns are the clear leader despite Banks postponing his commitment date.
Wolfe is a cornerback committed to Texas A&M. The Houston Madison product is the No. 48-ranked player on the Fabulous 55. The 6-foot-3 defensive back possesses rare length for his position and could move to safety at the college level.
