Four-star cornerback Bobby Wolfe released his top 10 on Saturday afternoon via Twitter and included some of the top programs in the country, including LSU, Georgia, Nebraska and Texas A&M. The Houston Madison product is a Fabulous 55 member and was a one-time commitment to Texas A&M.
Texas was never in the mix for Wolfe, who cited the 2018 recruiting class as a negative for the Longhorns because of the depth chart. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back is a long, lean cornerback with great coverage skills and range. He could also play free safety in college because of his physicality.
“I’m looking for the right fit, from scheme, to coaches to the depth chart,” Wolfe said in March at a 7-on-7 tournament. “Recruiting can be tough and overwhelming, but it is amazing to be in this position and I just want to take my time and make the right decision. It’ll come down to where I feel at home.”
Wolfe committed to Texas A&M after a junior day on Feb. 4 before backing off that pledge on March 6. Wolfe holds 28 offers and will trim his list to five schools in two months.
