The best center in the state released his top schools on Sunday night via Twitter and it included programs like Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Stanford. Branson Bragg, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman from Crandall, is No. 41 on the initial 2019 Fabulous 55 and the No. 2-ranked center prospect in the country, per 247Sports.

Bragg trimmed his list of 19 offers to eight schools. He’s considered a strong Texas lean and is the only in-state center prospect with an offer from the Longhorns. Texas is yet to sign a true center prospect under the direction of Tom Herman and the Longhorns are all-in on Bragg as the future at the position. He’s also big enough to contribute at guard in college.
Texas wants at least four offensive linemen in the 2019 class with Bragg the top interior prospect. The ideal offensive line class for the Longhorns would include Bragg and in-state offensive tackles Kenyon Green, Javonne Shepherd and Tyler Johnson. Texas is also in the mix for Arkansas product Stacey Wilkins.
Herman’s program added five offensive linemen in the 2018 class, including JUCO product Mikey Grandy. The Longhorns also added a one-year solution at left tackle when Rice grad transfer Calvin Anderson picked Texas over Michigan, Auburn and Oklahoma.
