Texas quarterback commit Roschon Johnson competed at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles (Calif.) over the weekend in hopes of securing his spot as one of the 11 quarterbacks selected to throw at The Opening Finals at the end of June in Frisco. Eleven of the 24 competitors in Los Angeles were chosen to move on to Frisco, but Johnson won’t be one of those players.

The dual-threat quarterback from Port Neches-Groves earned an invite to the Elite 11 Finals after a camp MVP performance at The Opening regional in Dallas. He was not among the 11 prospects listed by 247Sports as qualifying for The Opening Finals. Oklahoma commit Spencer Rattler led the list.
