Destiny Littleton scored 15 points and Joyner Holmes grabbed 14 rebounds to lead No. 11 Texas to a 73-63 victory over Oklahoma Wednesday night at the Erwin Center.
Texas improved to 13-2, 3-0 in the Big 12. OU is 5-9, 1-2.
Senior center Jatarie White scored 13 points and contributed nine rebounds. Danni Williams had 11 points and hit a key three-point shot with 2:20 to play to help stop an OU rally
OU, playing with three freshmen and two sophomores, cut UT’s lead to 61-59 with 7:40 to play. OU freshman Madi Williams led all scorers with 18 point.
Texas used an 8-0 scoring spurt in the final 2:32 of the second quarter to take a 41-34 lead at halftime. White led the Longhorns in the half with 11 points and six rebounds.
The Longhorns lead the series over Oklahoma 32-25 with a 18-9 edge in games played in Austin.
Texas returns to Big 12 action at Iowa State at 4 p.m. Saturday. The next home game will be Jan. 19 against TCU.

Three Big 12 teams remained unbeaten heading into Wednesday’s games: Baylor (1-0), Texas (2-0) and Iowa State (2-0).
Texas leads the conference in offensive rebounds per game (17.2) while Texas Tech ranks second (16.5). The Longhorns ranks No. 3 in the nation in rebounding margin (15.4 per game).
Iowa State, as expected, leads the Big 12 in three-pointers made (124). Texas ranks No. 8 (78) and Baylor No. 10 (44).
