The Texas women’s golf team earned the top spot in the latest Golfweek collegiate team rankings released Friday.
The Longhorns have been in the top 10 all season and their win at the Allstate Sugar Bowl last week helped them hit the top of the rankings.
Southern Cal sits in second while Duke is third.
Texas has two wins to its credit this season. The Longhorns have finished in the top four of each of the six tournaments in which they’ve competed.
The program has set two school records this season already, one for best 18-hole team score at 272 and another for best 54-hole team score at 824.
The Longhorns next travel to Kailua, Hawaii, for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational beginning March 12.
