Three losses on the road this weekend did not cost Texas its No. 12 spot in the D1Baseball poll on Monday.

Fueled by a sweep of LSU, Texas climbed 10 spots last week to D1Baseball’s No. 12 ranking. The Longhorns then dropped three of its four games at Stanford and was outscored 21-3 in its losses. Texas also needed to rally past UT-Rio Grande Valley in order to record last week’s 4-3 win in Austin.

Texas was joined by No. 11 Texas Tech and No. 21 TCU in the most-recent poll. Ranked sixth last week, Stanford is now listed fourth.

Texas (12-6) and Texas Tech (11-3) will engage in a three-game battle this weekend at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Texas Southern (2-10) is UT’s scheduled guest on Tuesday evening.
