The Texas track and field team recorded two wins and 10 personal bests at the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday at UTSA in San Antonio.
Anna McDonald won the 3,000 meters while Abby Guidry picked up a win in the 2,000-meter steeplechase. McDonald posted a personal-best time of 9 minutes, 53.75 seconds. Guidry clocked in at 7:04.92, a personal best.
Mariam Abdul-Rashid took second place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.41.
Grahm Gonzalez had the best finish for the men’s team, taking third in the pole vault with a height of 15 feet, 5 inches.
Destiny Collins, Claudine Blancaflor and Marleen Guerrero all took third place in their events. Collins finished the 800 meters in 2:14.23 for a personal best. Blancaflor clocked a time of 4:33.62 in the 1,500 meters. Guerrero recorded a mark of 5-5 in the high jump.
The Longhorns are set to begin action at the Texas Relays beginning Wednesday at Myers Stadium.
