The Texas men’s golf team sits in a tie for third place after the first two rounds of the Big 12 Championship in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.
The Longhorns trail first place Oklahoma State by 12 strokes with one round to go. TCU is in second, four shots ahead of the Longhorns.
Pierceson Coody leads the Longhorns at 4 under par. He shot 67 and 69 in the first two rounds to sit in fourth place.
Cole Hammer tied for the sixth-best score, shooting 73 and 65 to sit at 2 under par.
Parker Coody shot 71 in both rounds to tie for 21st at 2 over par.
Spencer Soosman is 4 over par and tied for 28th while Steven Chervony rounds out the team scores at 7 over par. Chervony sits tied for 37th.
Viktor Hovland of Oklahoma State and Hayden Springer of TCU are tied for first at 8 under par.
The final round for the Longhorns begins Sunday at 7:45 a.m.
