The Texas quartet competing at the Arnold Palmer Cup had a rough day, taking just one win during the second day of competition in Roland, Ark.
Only Agathe Laisne earned a win on the day while Hailee Cooper managed a tie. Cole Hammer and Kaitlyn Papp both fell in their two matches.
The international team leads 20.5 to 15.5 with the singles matches remaining to determine the winner of the Arnold Palmer Cup on Sunday.
Laisne and Chun An Yu teamed up for a 4 and 3 win over Peter Kuest and Stephanie Lau during the morning’s mixed foursome session.
All three Longhorns that played for the United States fell in the morning. Cooper and Hammer lost to Lois Kaye Go and Peng Pichaikool 2 and 1. Papp and partner Quade Cummins fell to Jiwon Jeon and Keita Nakajima 3 and 1.
In the afternoon’s foursome session, three Longhorns came up short while one came away with a tie. Papp and Ann Parmerter fell to Jeon and Karoline Stormo 2 up. Cooper and Malia Nam tied Sofia Garcia and Hira Naveed. Hammer and Patrick Martin fell 4 and 3 to Yu and Luis Gagne.
Laisne tees off against Jennifer Chang Sunday. Papp faces Lois Kaye Go while Cooper takes on Julie McCarthy. Hammer tees off against Pichaikool.
