Texas target Chad Lindberg picks Georgia

Texas’ recent recruiting success was dampened Sunday night when four-star offensive tackle Chad Lindberg chose Georgia over the Longhorns and a host of offers from elite programs. The 6-6.5, 327-pound prospect from Clear Creek High School is the 14th-ranked offensive tackle in the class and No. 4 on the 2020 Fabulous 55. Lindberg earned first-team all-district honors as a sophomore and junior.

Texas sits at four offensive line commits in the 2020 class with the recent pledge of Southlake Carroll’s Andrej Karic, who joined the likes of Logan Parr, Jake Majors, and Jaylen Garth. If Texas wants a fifth offensive linemen in the cycle, watch for Cedar Hill’s Courtland Ford to pick up an offer during his senior season.
