The Texas softball team will once again participate in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Mexico next season.
The Longhorns will compete in the tournament for the second time in three years beginning Feb. 13.
In 2018, UT went 2-2 with wins over Rutgers and Houston while falling to Mississippi and Oregon. Of course, that Oregon team was led by current Longhorns coach Mike White.
The tournament is scheduled to host 13 teams over two sessions. The Longhorns will compete in the second session which lasts through Feb. 16. Cal Baptist, Colorado State, Mississippi, Tennessee and Utah will join the Longhorns in the second session. Game schedules and times will be released at a later date.
Texas finished last season at 46-17 and fell one win short of advancing to the College World Series.
