Texas and Baylor fans should start thinking about their Halloween costumes for 2020.

A fascinating mid-season matchup on Oct. 31 at Royal-Memorial Stadium is one of the dates on next year’s Big 12 football schedule. The league released all conference schedules on Tuesday for next season.

Texas was already scheduled to play South Florida (Sept. 5), at LSU (Sept. 12) and UTEP (Sept. 19) during non-conference play. It wasn’t previously known the order of UT’s nine conference games.

Texas will be idle on Sept. 26, 2020. The conference opener comes the following week on Oct. 3 at Kansas State. UT then plays its traditional game against Oklahoma on the second Saturday of the month (Oct. 10) at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Texas hosts West Virginia on Oct. 17, then travels to Texas Tech on Oct. 24 and back home for Baylor on Halloween.

November is kind to the Horns, it appears on first glance. Texas travels to play at Kansas on Nov. 7, then it’s back home for two games — TCU (Nov. 14) and Iowa State (Nov. 21).

Texas closes out the regular season at Oklahoma State on Nov. 28. The Longhorns gave up wanting to play at home on Thanksgiving weekend after the 2017 season.

The 2020 Big 12 championship game is scheduled for Dec. 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

All kickoff times are to be announced at a later date. The league’s TV partners typically make all kickoff time decisions.
