After dropping its Big 12 opener, Texas has been evicted from the national poll compiled by the Associated Press.

Texas was not listed when the AP released its weekly rankings on Monday. UT had been ranked 25th in each of the AP’s last two polls. The Longhorns, though, were beaten 65-63 by unranked TCU this past Friday.

After receiving 46 points last week, Texas (8-5, 0-1 Big 12) collected only two points from a pool of 30 voters. Princeton, which took UT’s No. 25 spot, earned 19 points. With 721 points and 19 first-place votes, Connecticut topped the poll for the third straight week.

This marks the second time that UT has dropped out of the AP’s poll this season. Texas will look to bounce back during Monday’s trip to Iowa State. The Longhorns will also travel to No. 19 West Virginia on Sunday.
