The Texas men’s swimming and diving team took its 41st consecutive conference title while the women won their eighth straight Big 12 Championship in Morgantown, W.Va. on Saturday.
The men scored 1,127 points while the women finished with 1,012. Neither second place team scored 900 points.
Jordan Windle won his third straight title with 520.40 points in the platform diving event. Texas had a 1-2-3 finish with Andrew Harness taking second while Jacob Cornish finished third. The women also finished 1-2-3, with Jordan Skilken scoring 304.05 for first place. Paola Pineda took second with Janie Boyle placing third.
Austin Katz won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 39.17 seconds. Alvin Jiang finished in second. On the women’s side, Julia Cook won the title with a time of 1:51.62.
Daniel Krueger won the 100 freestyle with a time of 41.26, a Big 12 record. Maxime Rooney finished second while Drew Kibler took third. Claire Adams won her second title of the meet with a time of 48.03 in the women’s 100 free.
Parker Neri clocked a time of 14:55.01 in the 1,650 for another win. Texas swept the event with Mary Smutny clocking a time of 16:52.73 for the women’s title.
Caspar Corbeau took the 200 breaststroke title in 1:53.92.
Sam Pomajevich also prevailed in the 200 fly with a time of 1:41.78. For the women, Kelly Pash won in 1:54.56.
The Texas men finished off the 400 freestyle relay with a win in 4:48.56. Rooney, Kibler, Krueger and Matthew Willenbring. The team of Adams, Cook, Semenuk and Pash took the women’s race in 3:14.24.
