Longhorns add offensive lineman Michael Myslinski to 2021 recruiting class

Posted August 6th, 2020

Offensive lineman Michael Myslinski became Texas’ 16th commitment of the 2021 class Thursday morning when the three-star publicly picked the Longhorns over 25 other offers, including Michigan State, Florida State and Iowa. The 6-2, 285-pound Myslinski is a three-star prospect who is the No. 12-ranked center in the 2021 cycle, per 247Sports composite rankings.

Tom Herman and offensive line coach Herb Hand set out to land a true center prospect this cycle, and Myslinski comes with plenty of promise. He attends Bishop Kennedy in Jacksonville, Florida. His dad, Tom, played nine seasons in the NFL and is currently the strength and conditioning coordinator for the Jaguars.

Myslinski is the second commitment for Texas along the offensive line, joining four-star offensive tackle Hayden Conner. Myslinski is the fifth pledge from out of state. The class ranks 12th in the nation and first in the Big 12.
