Oklahoma rallied for two goals in the second half to beat Texas 2-1 Friday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Oklahoma’s Jordyn Knox-Webster tied it in the 61st minute and Caren Nelson’s goal in the 78th minute gave the Sooners (9-6-2, 2-2-2) their second Big 12 victory of the season.
The win snapped Texas’ five match unbeaten streak and broke Oklahoma’s five match losing streak against the Longhorns.
Texas (7-4-4, 4-2-1) went ahead in the 49th minute when Jasmine Hart got a pass from Alexa Adams and sent a shot from 23 yards out past Oklahoma goalie Kassidie Stade.
In the 61st minute, Knox-Webster received a pass from the right wing and sent a ball from nine yards out through the legs of Texas goalie Abby Smith and into the left side of the net.
OU’s Devin Barrett sent a crossing pass to Nelson with 12:15 left and Nelson finished with a running header to put the Sooners ahead.
